Ignore the first 5 characters. The 6th and the 7th number is the last 2 digit of the manufacturing year. The 8th and the 9th number is the week number of the manufacturing year. My LED light has 1541 date code.
It was manufactured on the week of Oct 5, 2015 (week 41 of 2015). Keep your receipt for warranty claim. Otherwise, Milwaukee will use the manufacturing date code to determine the warranty claim.
